Does anyone on this ship have any experience with a sword? I mean, I would prefer it if you've done more than just look at it, but even the most hopeless have to start somewhere.

I would suggest the lance but it seems a little impractical here. There's always the mace. Or if you have your own weapon of choice, I'm willing to learn.

[He's there, with two swords, and none of his armor because he sincerely doubts she can do him any harm.]

[Silly man. She's showing up (in relatively clean clothes, since she got new ones for Christmas, aren't you happy) and sizing him up as she goes to meet him. When she stops, she holds out her hand.]

Give me it.

A lady would say please. [But he offers her the sword, the hilt facing towards her.]

[She will kill you. >|] I'm not a lady. [And she's yanking the sword out of his hand, holding it up in both of hers. She learned while she was still pretending to be someone, when she escaped Harrenhal with her pack.]

"Clearly." [Arthur does raise an impressed eyebrow at her though, for being able to hold it. That's almost more than what Merlin can claim. He raised his sword, holding it easily in one hand.]

"I suppose I owe you a fight now."

Unless you're a liar. Or you're scared. [She's not stupid, she is going to hold this sword with both hands. It isn't Needle. But she's also going to wait for him to attack first, but if he takes too long, she's going to try forcing his hand by feinting with a quick step forward.]

[Arthur's really not going to try that hard against her, she's a little girl. He can't just beat her down like he can Merlin. So when he swings his sword, there's not a lot of weight behind it and if she wanted to, she could deflect it pretty easily.]

[Lol sorry Merlin. She doesn't try to deflect it, though - instead she darts back, keeping her sword angled across her body and pretty much doing nothing. She'd rather make him give her an opening.]

Is that all?

"I don't want to hurt you, little Cat."

You're not fast enough to hurt me. [Yp just. Gonna egg him on here, and circle around.]

[He still isn't just going to wale on her like he did Merlin but Arthur takes the bait a little, twisting his sword about his wrist and swinging low at her... like so her hips because she was so much smaller than his normal partner.]

[She lifts her sword to block, and it jars her arms right up to the shoulder. She almost drops her weapon, and jumps back again to hide it. But she darts in the second she gets her grip back, jabbing instead of slashing, aiming at his waist.]

[She kind of reminds him of Morgana when she was that age and that makes him horribly depressed given where they are now and perhaps a little homesick because he greatly missed that Morgana.

Arthur's forced to take a couple steps back to avoid the end of her sword, and she gets an impressed look for that. But when he swings his sword again, it's with the specific intent of knocking it out of her hands. He saw how you almost dropped it earlier.]

[What a jerk. She can't wait till she's older, taller, strong enough to hold a real sword in one hand - and win with it, too. Arya tries to jump back but she doesn't fully dodge it, and the sword comes out of her hand, clattering to the floor a few feet away. She backs up toward it, though, not really trusting him to call it quits.]

"Typically when the sword drops, you have lost the match in practice."

[Oh. Well that is a stupid rule and she's picking up the sword anyway. Not to attack, but. She is holding onto this. :|]

I could've beat you with my sword.

[You can't keep his sword.]

You have your own sword?

[But how will she train.]

Not here. [Which is why I'm using your stupid heavy one.]

[Guess she'll just have to hang out with him and train.]

"Why not?"

Because they won't give it back to me. [Hey you're a warden, you could get it for her. c:]

[You are a tiny Morgana :C]

[Welp, she grows up to look like her, so. :|]
