Does anyone on this ship have any experience with a sword? I mean, I would prefer it if you've done more than just look at it, but even the most hopeless have to start somewhere.

I would suggest the lance but it seems a little impractical here. There's always the mace. Or if you have your own weapon of choice, I'm willing to learn.

He's using your lack of knowledge against you. A gun is a projectile weapon that shoots a small cylinder of metal called a bullet out at extremely high speeds, and it can cause massive internal damage to any structure it hits, including the human body.
