Does anyone on this ship have any experience with a sword? I mean, I would prefer it if you've done more than just look at it, but even the most hopeless have to start somewhere.

I would suggest the lance but it seems a little impractical here. There's always the mace. Or if you have your own weapon of choice, I'm willing to learn.

It's on my to-do list. [No, no it isn't.] Just to, uh, compare notes: what's the best, or at least preferred, method of cleaning?

Yeah. I figured that much out on my own already. [You really, really are :c ]

What I meant was is there a certain kind of soap or cleaning method I should use. Obviously water is going to be involved.

[ARTHUR WHEN DO YOU EVER CLEAN YOUR OWN SWORD]

The blood'll make it rust. How long since it...got like that?

A few weeks, no more. I'll need some strong gloves for it. Can't touch the blood with bare hands.

Ah.

Well, you can get the blood off however it'll go - no acids, soap and water's as good as anything - so long as it's dried off completely afterward. Any spots of rust you'll need to file off. Then oil to protect it.
