[Arthur liked to train with Tim, the kid never let him win and he always gave everything that he got. But even then, today Arthur felt a little more drained than usual and as though he was sporting several new bruises as well.]

"Have you been practicing?"

[Tim was sporting some bruises of his own, rubbing his shoulder.] Uh - yeah, I guess. [Hnnn this week has been superb.] You all right?

"I'm fine." [Small pause.] "You seem like something's on your mind."

Not really. [Lol Tim who would believe you.] Nothing important, anyway.

"If you wanted to talk about it... I would listen."

[Tim isn't really one for sharing, but after beating on each other with swords he could at least explain a little.]

My ex is seeing someone else. [And he can leave it at that, right?]

[Arthur stared at him for a moment, with no clue what that meant.]

"Your what?"

My - oh. [Okay that's. Gonna take explaining.] So there's - you court women in Camelot, right? Where I'm from that doesn't always last. Someone you aren't courting anymore is your ex.

"Ah." [Arthur nodded slightly.] "Not all courtships last in Camelot either. It is hard, to see someone you care for with someone else." [Like Guinevere and Lancelot had been hard for him to see. Even if it had died quickly after he left.]

Yeah. [He pauses to give Arthur a weird little look, wondering how much of the legend is true for this prince, then shakes his head. He isn't sure how much he can even take talking about this right now.]

Like I said. It's not important.

[Arthur noticed the weird look but he didn't comment on it. He hardly ever spoke of Guinevere with his closest friends and advisors and you were still in new kid territory.]

"Would you like another round?"

[Be glad he doesn't brag about the shit he knows anymore, Arthur. You're welcome. Tim smiled wryly, though, and hefted his sword again, rotating his shoulder.]

[Whatever, Guinevere's his at the moment. Lancelot doesn't even compete.]

"I think I can handle you."

[You lucky douche. :c]

Oh, sure. Maybe I should teach you a little hand to hand to make this fair.

"What makes you so sure I don't already know some?"

[Whine whine whine, at least you can go home to her. :c Tim sets down his sword and flexes his arms.]
