[Arthur knows by now that if he got a letter from their father asking him to drop out of school and come home to a normal life, then so has Morgana. And he also knows that Morgana is much less likely to take it quietly. It wasn't as though Arthur enjoyed the letters or agreed with what was written there but he wasn't the sibling with the temper.

So maybe he's waiting outside of her last class to catch her, just to see how she's doing. Because he worries about you, you stubborn woman.]

[Which is probably a good thing, really, because she's still pissed about it, even after her talk with Emrys. Uther just frustrates her so much, and anger is always so much easier for her to express. So she's stalking out of that class (probably with the crumpled letter still in her bag), and paying very little attention to the world around her. So running right into him was kind of unavoidable.]

"Ow," [Arthur protests as she runs right into him. Obviously this is his fault, for standing in the middle of a rather uncrowded hallway.] "Watch it, Morgana."

[Things on her mind, okay, and also she wants to avoid the other students coming out of class because she wants to bite their heads off and shit okay.]

You could have moved, [she pointed out, pausing long enough to make sure she didn't hurt herself on his giant ego or something.] Were you waiting for me?

[Arthur rolled his eyes at her.] "Actually, yeah. I was. I figured you got a letter from dad too."

[See this is why she barreled out of the classroom. Morgana makes a frustrated noise, nodding.]

Telling you to move back home with an implied or else? [It's possible she reads too far into things from him.]

[She did. Or Uther didn't feel like he had to threaten his son to do something.]

"Something like that. Are you doing okay?"

[No. She didn't. But unlike her, Arthur had a harder time choosing between magic and his father.]

"Come on, let's go for a walk. You can rant and get it all out."

[No she doesn't, she's just pissed. argh argh argh.] I can't believe he'd think we'd just - just go home.

[Why take it out on Arthur, he's innocent here and just trying to help.]

"After what happened to my mom, you should really be more surprised he let us go in the first place."

[Because she has misplaced anger issues? :c]

"I'm not saying it is. I just... get why he doesn't like it."

[She shakes her head, but at least offers him a small smile.]

You try to understand him, and I just get angry. I don't even want to leave this summer.

"And leave me all on my own? That's great, Morgana. Thank you."

Any time. [But wait.] You could stay, you know. Or we could just go traveling I've always wanted to see other countries, haven't you? [And they'll just tell Uther they need time to think or something. Well she'll flip him off but. whatever.]

[The problem with that is that Arthur actually enjoys spending time with their father when they aren't talking about magic, and he doesn't know if he wants to go more than a year without seeing him.]

"How do you plan on paying for that without Dad?"

[Shrug. She hasn't thought this out yet but give her a day or two and she will have a full plan okay. :|]

[He doesn't doubt that at all.]

"I don't know if it really works like that."

It's not as if we can't pitch a tent nicer than a five star hotel, Arthur. And I'm not sitting on a plane when we can get ourselves there much faster. Why not? It would be fun.

"Not for the whole summer. You can't avoid him forever and I'd actually like to spend time with him."

I don't know why. [She's going to stick with the typical teenager thing of she hates him and she wants him to die. B(] I'd rather not listen to lectures all summer.

"I just said--" [Arthur sighs, and looks at her.] "He is still our father, Morgana. And some of the only family we have left."

[She thinks about pointing out that they have each other and do they really need anyone else, but it sounds so sappy and emotional that she can't really stand the idea of actually SAYING it. So she doesn't.]

I don't see the point in trying to understand him if he doesn't bother to understand why we're here.

[That would be really sappy. But also kind of hideously true.]

"I know. I'm not happy with it either but what does cutting him out really do?"

It would make me feel better, to start. [Totally flippant because it's just easier that way.]

We're teenagers, Arthur, we're not meant to care about later.

[They were also meant to have mothers that were still alive but obviously that wasn't true.]
