.021 - i'm sorry arthur has nothing public to say about that flood :c
[Arthur is a restless sleeper. And half the time he ends up curled around a pillow just to have something to hold. While that habit will probably be a good thing in his marriage, it's not really that great when the person he's got an arm around is Morgana. Because they were kids yesterday and he let her sleep in his room because hers wasn't suitable and it wasn't as though either one of them would've accepted sleeping on the floor.
So he's holding her like she is his wife, and he's not awake enough to realize that it's all wrong.]
[Private to Merlin]
Lord Merlin, hm?
[Private to Scrad/Charlie]
I apologize. For my behavior towards you in the flood.
[Private to Arya]
Would you like another lesson in your swordplay?

You must have loved that. [Wait. No. Not the bed part--] The flood.
[spam]
Which part? The reminder that we used to be friends? [That he used to let her sleep in his room when she had bad dreams, that even when she drove him nuts, he'd do anything to protect her.]
I wasn't the one who forgot that.
[spam]
No? You seem to perfectly capable of putting it from your mind so easily when you remember what I am!
[spam]
You see what you want to see, Morgana.
[spam]
You're a fool.

Merlin told me. What he did to you. [He doesn't sound happy about it. He sounds painted. Because he just spent three days with the Morgana that used to be there, before Merlin poisoned her to save Camelot. Arthur knows now that's when he lost her, and part of him is so glad that the choice was never in his hands because he knows he never would've been able to do it.]

Her hand curls against the door, nails digging into the wood until she turns to look Arthur over her shoulder.]
How nice. [Her voice starts out as ice, but she can't keep the heat out of it.] Only took him - has it been five years? How nice to know he finally found the courage.

Why didn't you?

[And she wants so desperately to believe that Merlin didn't tell Arthur that, either, so she could see the betrayal on his face - but the ship has made Merlin braver, and she hates that, in so many ways. Why was she the only one to suffer for his lies?
But she can't have Arthur seeing that, not after the harsh reminders of the past few days, so she makes herself smile, then smirk.]
He knew that I conspired with Morgause. It was the only thing keeping us at a standstill. [And that was she never took a drink poured by him when she ate with Arthur and Uther.]
Re: [spam]
You could have said something here. [And it's weird to him that she didn't, because she's done nothing but try to hurt him here and that would certainly do it.]
[spam]
Telling you myself would have been - [surprisingly painful, because Arthur would just forgive him and point out that Merlin had no choice and she wanted to just scream] - pointless.

When we first arrived here, maybe. [So much has happened since then, months here and over a year at home. It feels like a distant dream sometimes. He barely can remember what it was like to not have Merlin around.]
[spam]
You mean when I pretended to be Uther's loyal ward? When I feigned ignorance and hid how much I loathe the both of you? Yes, I'm sure I could have told you then, and given myself away.
[She half turns, like she'll leave, before looking back at him.] Have you forgiven him Arthur? [Her hand is tight on the door handle.] I did nothing that day, and he poured poison down my throat for it. Have you forgiven him?
[spam]
He told me that your sister used you to make the curse on Camelot. Have you forgiven her for that?
[spam]
She did what she thought was best.

Did she tell you about the curse?

And Morgana pauses, which is kind of damning and she knows it.]
She did what she thought was best.

Then so did Merlin.

But knowing - knowing, to her - that he doesn't care that his servant tried to kill her before this, before they were enemies, before they stopped being friends, that he could still take Merlin's side, knowing what he did, is a knife in the back.]
Maybe it would have been better if he had succeeded.
[She doesn't wait to see his response to her lashing out, because she's afraid it's true. If she had died in Merlin's arms in the throne room - she pulls open the door, and walks out.]
