[Video Post thing to settle a bet with Cass]
[So a week ago, Cass bet Arthur that if she beat him in a sparring match, then he had to clean up after himself for a whole week. And show everyone. No one will probably understand the significance of this except for Merlin who has previously done all of the cleaning and Cass and Guinevere because she was around. This seems like an accidental post honestly. So here you go, people of the Barge, here's nearly five minutes of Arthur straightening up his room. He comes back to the communicator eventually and picks it up, and now you know this wasn't an accident.]
Happy, Cassandra?
[There's a small pause, and he looks like he isn't sure he wants to ask this but:] ... is it... customary, where most of you are from, to give gifts at this time of year?
[Private to the Admiral]
For Guinevere, a pair of earrings befitting a Queen.
For Merlin, a better mattress. The one he has now is awful.
For Arya, a set of chainmail useful for her size and some treats for her wolf.
For Charles, thatugly... thick tunic that seems to have found its way into my room.
For Cass, a nice dress.Girls like those sort of things, right
For Cashmere, a... trinket for her hair.
For Emma... a bracelet.
For Tim, his own sword and mail.

I think it's time you seriously reconsider this path in life, Cassandra.
video
Why? Should stick with... what I'm good at.
Re: video
video
[She doesn't actually believe that in any way, but still. Trolling. She can't just give up now.]
Re: video
I'm sorry?
video
[She doesn't even have powers, but this is fun.]
Re: video
Your what?
video
Joke. There are people... in my world, called metahumans, who can... do things. Things Merlin does. But I'm not one.
Would it be bad, if I was?
Re: video
... No. No, it would not be... bad.
Re: video
What would it be?
video
... part of you, I suppose.
private video
Yes. Something I can't help. My abilities... were taught. Born to be a killer, taught to be one. Given all the power, could do bad things.
But I don't. I help people.
private video
If we're talking about Merlin, that's not the problem. The problem is that they had a one way relationship for years and Arthur has no sense of worthiness as a king left. If she's paying attention to his expression, it's sort of resigned and a little lost.]
I know, Cassandra.
private video
She's talking about Merlin and herself, really. They have so much in common it's hard not to take some of this stuff personally. And she does see how hard this is for him, so she sighs and nods.]
Just don't forget. People like me... need people like you. Friends who... don't judge us. Don't punish, for things we can't help.
Re: private video
Oh Cass, you can't even begin to take what Arthur does to Merlin personally. They're on an entirely different level of broship :c He nods back and doesn't really seem to have much to offer on that subject, so how about a new one.]
What sort of bizarre customs do you have for this season?
private video
And too late, she does. If she went to Camelot she'd probably be accused of being a sorceress for her abilities, so it's the same to Cass. Being judged for what you are translates no matter what your brolevel is. Still, she doesn't push when he changes the subject.]
Give presents. Santa comes. He's big and fat, wears red suit. Gives presents. [She shrugs.] It's weird.
private video
After hearing what Christmas or Yule or whatever is about, he almost wants to go back to talking about Merlin and social justice.]
Why would a fat man go around giving presents to strangers?
private video
No idea. Mostly interested... in the eating part. There's a feast. Lots of food.
private video
private video
Do you have that, in Camelot? Big dinner, to celebrate... [Wait a second she knows their word for it HANG ON.] Yule?
private video
We have feasts to celebrate all occasions. Yule, included.
private video
But you don't... give presents?
private video
Not typically. For someone's anniversary, yes. Not for Yule.
private video
[Wait for it.]
... When's your birthday?
[That's not obvious AT ALL what are you talking about.]
private video
It was last month. [Look who didn't make a big deal about it: this guy.]
