.010 - video

It would seem that my Inmate, Nathan Petrelli is no longer registering on my... Item. [Is that what it's called? Oh who cares.] I can only conclude it is because he is no longer on board. I thought there'd be some of you that would like to know that.

[Long, long, long hideous pause in which Arthur seems like he's going to cut off the video but he doesn't.]

Last week, I challenged the Lady Morgana, an Inmate here. It wasn't exactly a fair fight. [He means the fact that he had a real sword and she had a wooden one, even though he offered to trade and she didn't take him up on it and also she sucks with a sword compared to him anyway. And also she's a woman.] I injured her leg.

I accept any punishment is customary for this place.

[Private to Morgana]

[Another hideously long silence]

Before this place, back in Camelot... did I do something to harm you? Did Guinevere? [He knows better than to ask about Uther or Merlin now. But you framed his lady love and tried to kill him a lot too.]

[Private to Mozenrath]

She used magic to cheat. Which you may consider to fall under self defense, but I thought you should know anyway.

Mozenrath's right. It's not a punishment, it's a consequence. You challenged her to a fight you knew she couldn't win unless she 'cheated', knowing that she would defend herself however she could.

I know you won't apologise to her for trying to hurt her. You can't say it and mean it and it'll only make things worse to lie to her. But you used her to feed a fear and hatred of magic you should be trying to let go. Apologise to her for that, if nothing else.

That doesn't matter. Apologising is the honourable thing for you to do. It'll mean this is over.

[AND THEN YOU DON'T DO IT AGAIN.]
